We lucked out and happened to go to Mount Vernon on the day of their fall festival.
We roasted apples...
...took a boat ride on the Potomac...
...conquered a hay maze...
...took a hay ride, pulled by the very same horses that deliver the Christmas tree to the White House...
...and played fun old games. I think all my children will ever need is a stick and a hoop, forget all these fancy new toys.
