Mike & I went & saw Grandma Grow & Grandma Whiting when we were in Utah last week. Grandma Grow seems to have as much energy as ever, & Grandma Whiting played an excellent hostess as always (we ate a dinner of funeral potatoes, rolls, salad, chicken & cookies).
Mapleton is beautiful. It smelled like fresh corn & earth. I bet you miss it, Steve. It was so nice to sleep in the upstairs room with the windows open & to listen to the wind blowing down from the canyon. It was a nice change from the grinding noise of the FDR right below our apartment in Manhattan.
