Dear family!
What a week it has been. Now im starting to work a lot out in this tiny town called Carmen. Its out in the boonies and we are going there twice a week now. This past tuesday we went out and found some great people. Then this last saturday we found even more people. The way that we do our contacts now is in the contact we invite the people off the bat if they are willing to read the book of mormon. If they are willing to read we give them the book and then pass by. If they aren't willing to read we just say choa and move on. Its very cut and dry at this point because we are looking to find the elect who are willing to listen. We have a month and a little to get 31 more baptisms. The goal here in venado tuerto is 100 baptisms this year. President Hutchensen promised the people that we would get that so that we could help them become a stake as soon as possible down here. Last year in the zone there were 45 baptisms the whole year. We already have 67 and are pushing hard this last part to get 100. It sounds like we are just pushing for numbers, but our focus is on completing a goal and helping as many people as possible come unto Christ. So now we are working like crazy to find 31 more people who are ready now to be baptized. So this past week in Carmen we found a family of 6 who are willing to listen and were really happy that we passed by. We are going to go by them again on tuesday. Also we found another lady who really wants to listen too. Its fun talking to all of these people who are so fresh and have never had their doors knocked by the missionaries before. In Murphy we are still working with this family Suarez. The mom of the family has set a baptism date, but for the 3rd of January. We´re working with her though. She came to the district conference this past sunday which was amazing. The district here in Venado tuerto is about the size of the new canaan ward, probably smaller. There were great speakers and we had 7 investigators there from Murphy to see it. It was a district conference and then afterwards there was a baptism of 7 people. 3 of the people were from a little town st Isabel. They were taught by a senor couple down here brother and sister pace. Also 4 people from here in venado were baptized. They were from the branch that our elder Velasquez and elder Gonzalez work. (I live in the same apartment as them). One of the people who was baptized (Norma) was baptized by her son. She is like 50 he is like 30 and hes been trying to have her accept the gospel for some 10 years now. When he baptized her, he brought her out the water and tears were flowing it was a special moment. Also the husband of a Lady member finally got baptized. Shes been praying and working with him for 3 years to have him accept as well. His name is Omar and at first he didn´t want anything to do with the church. Now he was baptized and their super excited to prepare for the temple. Lots of tears, lots of joy, a very special experience for all. So all of our investigators were there at the first part of the baptism, but then left right before the most spiritual part. ( when the son baptized his mom) It was kinda a bummer. All of the people from Murphy came in a bus. The bus driver got antsy and told everyone that they had to go right now. Elder Bulter and I were a little perturbed that they missed out on that marvelous experience because a bus driver couldn´t wait 2 more minutes.A great experience to see that baptism though. We are getting blessed with a ton of success here in venado right now. We´ve had about 15 baptisms this past 3 weeks and now we just need to keep that pace going to reach the goal. We´re praying for a white Christmas (everyone in white for Christmas). Hope that all is well with you all. Enjoy turkey day here. Im going to try to find some turkey or something maybe. Or maybe not. It just doesn't feel like thanksgiving time at all right now. I actually have no idea what time of year it feels like. My body is just confused thinking it should be cold but its hot. I send my love to everyone. Enjoy your holiday Happy Thanksgiving!

PS do they do a missionary newsletter anymore of the whole ward?
Ps 2 the letters that you recently sent mom got here all cut up and stuff because the machine that they use for the pound cuts the top of the envelope to up and check stuff. It just made the letters a little more interesting to read.
Ps 3 I have to pay like 20 pesos everytime I get a package because of the stupid mail system here. Also I was wondering how much it costs to take out money from down here. Let me knowOther things I could use if your sending a package for another time: pens, vitamins, cool stuffJ
